On the behalf of Macbook users, swapping to windows in the 6th form will ruin productivity and work. Having to adjust to a new work system while managing stressful preps and deadlines may decrease peoples grades especially considering the long adjustment period that comes with switching to a different operating system.
Statement from the ITD: We are grateful for the considered engagement we have received. After reflecting carefully on the points raised, we have decided the school managed laptops will not be compulsory for boys entering the sixth form this year. Instead the scheme will operation on an optional, opt-in basis. Pupils may therefore continue to use their own devices or choose to participate in the School-managed program.
